Bobby L. Baker, P.E., CGC

Vice President, Engineering

Mr. Baker graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2005. Joining Baker Klein in 2014, he brings over 25 years of experience in civil engineering, inspection, materials testing and geotechnical engineering. Bobby has worked on a wide range of both public and private projects. Mr. Baker’s range of experience includes site evaluation, site inspections, and permit acquisition.

As a Professional Engineer with Baker Klein Engineering, Mr. Baker’s responsibilities include the planning, layout, and design of transportation, commercial, industrial and residential developments in the State of Florida. He is responsible for permitting through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, St. Johns River Water Management District, the Florida Department of Transportation, other federal and state agencies, and local jurisdictional agencies. He is involved in all aspects of roadway design including traffic analysis, pavement section, stormwater runoff and conveyance modeling, and collection and treatment system sizing and design. Other responsibilities include utility system layout and design, lift station design, retaining wall system design, review and approval of contractor submittals, and research and implementation of green technologies for project efficiency, gray water reuse, wastewater treatment, storm water reuse and treatment, and storm water discharge pollution prevention. Bobby holds a Florida Certified General Contractor’s license. He is also responsible for construction administration consisting of pre-construction meetings, RFI responses, shop drawing review, and project close out and as-built drawings.
